Embossing / Debossing

mpressed logos, lettering and graphics are a unique way to draw attention to your printed piece. We offer the option of creating embossed lettering and images using a variety of techniques.

  • Blind Emboss – raised image or lettering without the use of ink
  • Foil Emboss – combined techniques of Foiling & Embossing produces a highly finished look
  • Register Embossing – the embossing of inked images or lettering provides a nice custom finish
  • Debossing – recessing an image or lettering into the paper, rather than raising it, for a very unique and stylized finished appearance

Metallic Foil

Foil Stamping. Properly applied heat and pressure on a metallic paper or foil produces a custom design on your finished piece that really gives it that extra something special. This technique of Foil Stamping is growing in popularity and our skilled team will adorn your piece with a beautiful Foil Stamp design utilizing available techniques.

Textured Spot Foil. Of course a textured spot foil can be used on an award or recognition piece, but it also makes for a great accent finish around dramatic photography and many types of product photography.

Edge Painting

Edge painting is a process by which color is applied to the edges of the paper. This can be done in any color, including metallic inks. This technique looks best with thicker paper and is a great way to add a pop of color.

Thermographic “Raised Ink”

Thermography. Ideal for adding value to any piece with a tactile surface quality. As the sheet passes through a heating unit, thermo powder is dropped onto and melted to the ink creating an exquisite raised effect. The process results in a stunning piece that is dry immediately upon completion.

Clear Spot Thermography. If you’re looking for that raised printed look that literally makes the print jump right off the page, clear spot thermo will do the trick for you. Our experts can help you make the most of this very special coating.

Coatings & Varnishes

Soft Touch Printing. Great for themed promos, this aqueous printing finish will leave your piece soft to the touch. Sometimes it’s even possible to make a printed image feel like the real thing. Ask us how.

Clear Finish. For protection of a piece that will see heavy use in its future, or to give a piece a certain shine, clear finishes are a great way to add value to high dollar jobs.

Spot UV. So rich, so thick, so shiny, you’ll swear the ink never actually dried. Spot UV finishes are some of the most vivid you’ll ever see.
